The Trump Administration is celebrating a significant victory in its immigration policy after successfully deporting Venezuelan gang members, despite a last-minute federal court injunction attempting to halt the process.

A federal judge appointed by former President Barack Obama issued an emergency injunction on Saturday night, ordering planes already in flight to turn back and return the deported individuals to the U.S. The ruling was in response to a legal challenge filed by the ACLU and Democracy Forward, which sought to prevent the deportation of Tren De Agua gang members to El Salvador.

However, the ruling came too late. Two flights carrying nearly 300 Venezuelan and other gang-affiliated individuals had already landed in El Salvador. In response, Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele mocked the court order, posting “Oopsie…Too late”

Now, the White House has joined in, releasing a video on Monday morning that appears to taunt the deported gang members. The short clip features footage of Tren De Agua members being patted down and led onto a plane bound for CECOT, El Salvador’s high-security mega-prison. The video is set to the 1998 Semisonic hit “Closing Time” and highlights the lyrics: “Closing time… You don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here.”

This latest move underscores the administration’s firm stance on illegal immigration and public safety, aligning with campaign promises that have resonated with a large portion of the electorate. A recent poll suggests Trump’s approval rating has reached a record high, reflecting widespread support for his immigration policies.

The situation also raises broader questions about the ongoing tension between the executive branch and the judiciary over immigration enforcement. As the debate continues, one thing remains clear: the administration is determined to press forward with its agenda, regardless of legal challenges.
