In a decisive move, the Republican-controlled House voted 224-198 on Thursday to censure Rep. Al Green (D-TX) after his disgraceful and disruptive outburst during President Donald Trump’s address to Congress on Tuesday.
Green, a radical leftist and longtime Trump-hater, shook his cane and screamed at the President in the middle of a historic speech where Trump laid out his vision to restore America after four years of Democrat destruction. This was not peaceful protest—it was chaos, disrespect, and a complete lack of decorum.
Republicans Restore Order, Democrats Create Chaos
While President Trump spoke about unifying the country and putting America First, Democrats refused to applaud, held up protest signs, and sulked like children. But Al Green took it even further, heckling the President, yelling “No mandate to cut Medicaid!” in a desperate political stunt.
The usually reserved Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso (R-WY) had enough, yelling “Sit down!” as Speaker Mike Johnson repeatedly warned Green to stop.
Even after banging the gavel and issuing multiple warnings, Green refused to listen. Speaker Johnson finally instructed the sergeant-at-arms to remove him.

This isn’t the first time a Democrat has pulled a stunt like this.
Just last year, Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) was censured after pulling a fire alarm in the Capitol to delay a vote—a move so reckless that he was even ousted by his own party in the next primary. (New York Post)
