Securing America: The Urgent Need to Seal Our Southern Border

The Biden administration’s disastrous open-border policies have fueled an unprecedented crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border. In just the past four years, millions of illegal aliens have poured into the country, bringing crime, drugs, and a massive financial burden on American taxpayers. Now, under the decisive leadership of President Trump, the Department of Defense has announced the deployment of a Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) and a General Support Aviation Battalion to reinforce border security efforts and finally put America first.

A Long Overdue Action to Secure the Border

The newly announced deployment, ordered by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, aims to seal the border and protect the territorial integrity of the United States. These reinforcements will work alongside the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to combat the unchecked flow of illegal migrants who have exploited lax policies for years.

Crime Surge Fueled by Illegal Immigration

The past four years have proven the devastating consequences of weak border enforcement. Cartels, human traffickers, and violent criminals have taken advantage of the chaos, leading to a rise in drug trafficking, gang violence, and human smuggling. In cities across the nation, MS-13 gang members and other criminal elements have committed violent crimes, including murder, rape, and drug-related offenses, preying on innocent American citizens.

The Numbers Don’t Lie:

  • Over 7.2 million illegal crossings occurred under Biden’s presidency, overwhelming law enforcement.
  • Fentanyl seizures skyrocketed, with enough deadly doses smuggled in to kill millions of Americans.
  • Violent crimes linked to illegal immigrants have surged, including cases of murder, assault, and DUIs.

Meanwhile, additional data obtained by the Committee on the Judiciary and Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement U.S. House of Representatives show that there are at least 617,607 aliens on ICE’s non-detained docket who have criminal convictions or pending criminal charges.  Those are aliens who remain non-detained in the United States, free to reoffend. The Miami area has the highest number of criminal aliens, with 69,153 aliens with criminal convictions or pending criminal charges.  The Los Angeles area has 54,564 criminal aliens, with New York City and Atlanta following close behind with 50,190 and 48,253 criminal aliens, respectively.

In August and September 2021, while the mainstream media ignored the crisis, I personally traveled to the southern border of Texas to document and report on the mass illegal alien invasion firsthand.

Day 2

A Financial Burden on Hardworking Taxpayers

Beyond the rising crime, the unchecked illegal immigration crisis has put an enormous financial strain on American taxpayers. Instead of funding programs for struggling citizens, veterans, and the homeless, billions of dollars have been diverted to support illegal aliens.

The Cost of Biden’s Border Failure:

  • Over $150 billion spent annually on services for illegal immigrants.
  • Welfare abuse, as thousands of illegal migrants receive food stamps, housing assistance, and Medicaid without ever contributing to the system.
  • School districts and hospitals overwhelmed, with U.S. citizens forced to compete for resources against those who broke our laws to enter the country.

America Must Come First

The deployment of the Stryker Brigade Combat Team is a step in the right direction, but this crisis should have never happened in the first place. For too long, weak policies have allowed our nation to be invaded, our communities to suffer, and our tax dollars to be wasted.

Now, under President Trump’s leadership, securing the border is once again a priority. It’s time to stop the flow of illegal immigration, crack down on criminal aliens, and protect American citizens first and foremost.

With the military reinforcing the border, we are sending a clear message: America will no longer be a free-for-all for illegal immigration
