Musk and DOGE Expose Massive Social Security Fraud Scheme Involving Nearly Half of Incoming Calls

In a bombshell revelation, Elon Musk and his team at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) have exposed staggering levels of fraud plaguing the U.S. Social Security Administration. During a recent interview with Fox News host Bret Baier, DOGE engineers shared that nearly 40% of all phone calls to the Social Security Administration (SSA) are made by fraudsters attempting to divert benefit payments into their own accounts.

“They call in, claim to be a retiree, and convince SSA staff to change direct deposit information. That money is then rerouted to scammers,” Musk said.

Targeting the Vulnerable

Musk’s DOGE team, created by executive order under President Donald Trump, is working to overhaul federal systems riddled with inefficiency, outdated tech, and rampant fraud. According to DOGE engineers, retirees are falling victim “every day” to fraudsters who impersonate them over the phone.

The fix? Modernization and security. DOGE is prioritizing digital safeguards to help actual beneficiaries protect their identities and ensure their benefits go to the right place.

“This is happening all day, every day. Then someone doesn’t receive their check—and it’s because of these massive loopholes in the system,” Musk warned.

Over 25 Million Americans Aged 100+?

In another stunning discovery, DOGE engineers uncovered that over 25 million Americans in the SSA database are listed as 100 years old or older—some allegedly born before the U.S. Constitution was ratified.

In response, the DOGE team has flagged and marked recipients aged 120 and up as deceased, exposing what they call “unbelievable systemic neglect” in managing federal benefit rolls.

Why Are Democrats Fighting the Cleanup?

Despite the evidence of systemic abuse and legitimate beneficiaries being cheated out of their money, Democrats have aggressively resisted Musk’s anti-fraud efforts.

This raises serious questions: Why oppose a cleanup? Could elected officials—or their allies—be benefiting from this bloated and broken system?

The Bigger Picture

Musk’s work with DOGE is quickly unraveling decades of mismanagement and waste in the federal government. In just two months, the team claims to have identified over $130 billion in potential savings and systemic failures.

The public reaction to DOGE’s findings has been sharply divided. Some cheer the return of common-sense reform, while others—especially entrenched bureaucrats and political insiders—are pushing back hard.

But one thing is clear: 40% of SSA calls being fraudulent is not just a red flag—it’s a four-alarm fire.
