Across Michigan, state-funded colleges and universities—including Lansing Community College (LCC)—have transformed from institutions of higher learning into leftist indoctrination centers, where sexual identity politics, radical activism, and divisive DEI policies take priority over actual education. Instead of equipping students with real-world skills, these schools are shoving LGBTQ ideology and leftist politics down students’ throats, creating a culture of division instead of unity.

LCC: Flying the LGBTQ Flag, But Not the American Flag

Lansing Community College flies the LGBTQ pride flag at both its campuses—but refuses to fly the American flag. Why? Because academia has abandoned national pride in favor of radical identity politics.

Students go to college to learn, not to be force-fed sexual ideology. Classrooms should be a place for math, science, history, and trade skills, not leftist social engineering experiments. But instead, LCC and other institutions have decided that pushing sex, gender identity, and political activism onto students is more important than actual education.

What happened to learning actual skills?

DEI: Division, Not Inclusion

One of the biggest frauds being shoved onto college students today is Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)—which does the exact opposite of what it claims to promote.

DEI doesn’t bring people together—it tears them apart. Instead of celebrating merit and achievement, DEI focuses on skin color, gender, and sexual orientation to determine who gets hired, who gets promoted, and who gets admitted into schools.

  • DEI lowers standards by prioritizing race and gender over qualifications.
  • DEI creates resentment by forcing students and staff to focus on their differences, rather than what unites them.
  • DEI fuels cancel culture by silencing anyone who disagrees with leftist ideology.

Even the University of Michigan has begun rolling back DEI policies, recognizing that they are toxic, divisive, and counterproductive. (New York Post)

Yet, colleges like LCC, Michigan State University, and Wayne State University continue to shove this nonsense into every classroom and administrative policy, all while calling it “progress.”

Conservative Voices Silenced on Michigan Campuses

The same universities that claim to promote diversity actively suppress conservative viewpoints.

  • At Northern Michigan University, leftist students tried to shut down a speech by Olivia Krolczyk, a student who dared to speak out against radical gender ideology. (Campus Reform)
  • The University of Michigan hosted a “Diversity of Thought” event that included ZERO conservative voices. (The College Fix)

So much for “inclusion.”

Higher Education Should Be About Merit, Not Politics

Michigan’s universities and community colleges should return to their original purpose—educating students, not indoctrinating them.

Colleges should:

  • Focus on academic excellence, not sexual preferences and pronouns.
  • Reward students and faculty based on merit, not identity politics.
  • Allow all viewpoints on campus, not just those approved by the left.

Education should be about preparing students for the real world—not grooming them into political activists.

It’s time to hold Michigan’s colleges accountable and demand an end to radical indoctrination in our education system.
